I didn't hear her today either but maybe she is on vacation?
Looks like she's gone. The website now lists the morning show as "Merkel in the Morning."
Wow. I'm kind of surprised 3WS got rid of her. In my opinion, Kris Winter was a
great talent in the Burgh.

She and Merkel never had any chemistry.
He's gone through partners like Spinal Tap has gone through drummers -- Gary Dickson, Steve Hansen and now Kris are all now on the alumni list.
I guess they figure Teresa is enough a sidekick. With ratings down at 3WS, it figures they'd be in line for some cost-cutting.

Let me add, that I don't think Chris Winter has any kind of partner capabilities. She was always stepping all over what Merkel said and when he had something funny, she'd ignore it and try to top him off with something very unfunny. Doesn't know the basic rules of comedy, always sounded disinterested.
Perhaps management finally heard this for themselves.

Doubtful they'd make a decision based on any kind of quality issues. She was that way throughout their run, and apparently management never had a problem with it.
I think this is as simple as CC looking to cut a salary. They know that Merkel still has producer Teresa to converse with.
