Where is Peter Brown!

Hi, I'm a big fan of Peter Brown formerly of the Sporting News Radio and wanted to know if he's still doing sports talk radio, I know that he was working at a radio station in the Milwaukee area radio market. Does anyone know if Mr. Brown is still employed in the sports radio business.

Peter threw in the towel years ago. He was once considered a major market talent and national host, but got tired of chasing the dream. He turned down quality jobs to host on the weekends and work in small markets. He realized that his time was running out to be considered a serious contender to Mike and the Mad Dog and Rome so he quit the grind. Sad!

I live in Milwaukee, and grew to enjoy listening to Peter Brown while he was here. He hosted an afternoon show on WSSP 1250. He was let go sometime in October or November of 2006. I heard various rumors, with the 2 most consistent being that the station could no longer afford him and that they were looking to go in another direction.

In any event, I stopped listening for quite some time before warming up to his replacements.

I'd be interested in knowing what he's up to these days.

Re: Where is Peter Brown & Bob Kemp

I also, would like to know where is Bob Kemp formally of the Sporting News Radio.
I really miss his late night sport talk show. During his tenure with Sporting news
his show was the most thoughtful and intelligent sport show on that network.

A few months ago. A caller called Jorge Sedano on FSR's overnight show & asked him who he used to listen to before he was on the air. Surpisingly he mentioned Kemp. I say this is surprsing b/c their styles are nothing alike. Though, he did also mention how he used to listen to John Renshaw (whom he said he worked w/ in Miami) & Scott Ferrall who he worked w/ at FSR. Those 2 made much more sense b/c they're much more outrageous w/ their comments like him.

Kemp was extremely knowledgeable & i used to always crack up when he would only talk about specific sports in specific segments.

Good thing that you brought that up, for that's exactly why I hated his show. IMO, it made Kemp, knowledgeable as he was, come off as pompous and arrongant. Like the teacher in junior high that was so hated because of how strict he/she was...
