Where is Robert Osborn on TCM?

I haven't seen anything about his absence on the net or anywhere else. They have mentioned him a couple times as guests hosts fill in but that's all I know. I am taking it for granted he's ill. If so, I hope he recovers soon and returns to hosting the movies on TCM.

All that has come out is that Osborne is taking a three month leave for "minor surgery" and a vacation. Scheduled to be back in October.

Prior to his leave I had been wondering about his health--he has looked rather gaunt lately, although that could simply just be losing unneeded weight. And he is 79 years old.

I don't have cable, therefore no TCM either, but I have enjoyed watching the channel when visiting others. A few months ago, I saw Alec Baldwin on that channel in a discussion about one of the movies. Is he filling in or increasing his presence on TCM?

...Baldwin replaced (I think) Carrie Fisher as co-host on TCM's "Essentials" series of screenings...

This is a semi-related question I've wondered about. Are the hosts' segments taped in LA, Atlanta, or both depending on the host?

...am I the only person to think, for an actor that talented, Ileana Douglas' delivery as a fill-in for Osborne is unlistenably stiff?...

I wasn't aware that Osborn is 79 years old.

I too noticed that he did lose some weight. Hopefully it is his desire to shed a few pounds and nothing to do with a health problem.

You know who really looks old is Harrison Ford. I saw him on the Letterman show recently and was amazed how he's aged. Maybe being married to a much younger woman does that to a man. ;D

The segments with Robert Osborn were usually recorded in Atlanta, Georgia.

That's what I had guessed, but didn't know for sure. So are Ben Mancewicz's segments recorded in LA?
