Where is SPROUT?

I see that 8.2 is no longer Sprout. It was the only kiddie channel of over the air. I know there is an Ion channel for kids somewhere on channel 14, but those channels don't come in clear here in Stone Mountain.

It never was Sprout, which is a cable/satellite only channel. 8.2 is PBS Kids.

I believe Shawty is confused because, as Wikipedia summarizes at the outset:

Sprout (formerly PBS Kids Sprout) is an American digital cable and satellite television network that is owned by the NBCUniversal Cable subsidiary of NBCUniversal. It replaced the PBS Kids channel on some cable and satellite providers.

So ... yes, what is now just called "Sprout" did have "PBS Kids" as part of its name from when it first launched in September, 2005 until November, 2013, and only truncated the name at that point because NBCUniversal bought out PBS' interest in the channel.

What I don't get is why it took Shawty a year and a half to notice the network had gone cable-only.

My bad, I meant PBS KIDS or whatever it is. BTW, It hasn't been a year and a half since 8.2 took away PBS Kids. I have over the air in the kitchen and would keep that channel tuned in for my nephew. I got the two confused based on the over the air being PBS Kids and on cable being called Sprout.
