Where is Sue

Was Sue Serio let go from the morning team....since they have the female back and Jen was scaled back to minor bits from anchoring with Mike, things have changed this week. Sue was a long time team player, but I guess the exotic looks of the new weather gal takes preference...

Gee, you don't think that holiday vacations could have anything to do with it, do you?

No, it MUST be someone getting fired.

I guess you don't watch Good Day Philadelphia, hardly ever. The "female" that came back is named Sheinelle Jones, who returned from maternity leave. I'd hardly call the new weather girl Sally Ann Mosey "exotic", though she is somewhat attractive. BTW, Sally is not employed at 29, only freelancing there.

Oasis, if by "exotic looks" you mean drag queen, then yes, Mosey is "exotic." Although she's under 5' tall, she is rapidly approaching 50 yrs of age, so I don't think the term weather "girl" is appropriate. Looks aren't important, though. There is a reason Mosey was let go from her wknd morning job in NYC. They were so anxious to get her off the air, they pulled her but continued to pay out her contract for months. After many years, Mosey just doesn't have what it takes to present a forecast without stumbling all over herself. It's sort of like English is a second language for her. I sincerely hope they don't take Sue off for the likes of her.

When someone is on vacation, just like in radio, the person away is always mentioned, I am not that dumb....Sue was never mentioned when Sally was introduced and is never mentioned anymore in connection with the station....also, to my knowledge Sue is of Italian/Catholic decent, and would not take the week of Hanukkah off, so IMHO I think she is history, unless she is mentioned in any way, shape or form...and to the other poster, I know the females name is Sheinelle Jones, who was a staple with her sidekick who is also on limited functions if any, probably waiting for his contract to run out....I have been watching this show for years....

Ummm she was in this morning. The easiest way to see if someone still works there is to see if their bio is still up on the website. They don't waste time taking down bios.

How is there a connection there? People can take time off for entirely unrelated reasons. Maybe that's just when she wanted to/could take a vacation day, or she was under the weather or what have you.

I know she was ILL now after todays show,,,,,but the hosts should of said something why she was not on-air...they just ignored her being off....I remember the days of WIBBAGE the jocks were so popular when one was not on-air the fill in would constantly say so and so in for so and so and so and so will be back this day and the reason why the jock was out...its just courtesy...

Just saw Sue promoing the special edition of Good Day Philadelphia on Saturday morning for panic the people snow coverage...Gotta run to the Ac-Uh-Me for bread and milk :D :)

The days of WIBBAGE are how many decades gone now? Not everyone follows the same plan for how to acknowledge someone is off/sick. The point still stands that simply not being mentioned every 2.3 minutes doesn't equate to someone being sacked.

Sue Serio is a first-rate personality. She's smart, witty, funny and very personable on the air. It's a shame she has a weight issue and has apparently been relegated to field reporter on the show (today she was standing strategically behind a pile of donated items at a food bank). She deserves to have a career in TV (assuming she wants to continue having one), but I'm not so sure the suits will want to keep her indefinitely unless she sheds about 50 pounds.

Interesting. Considering 29 has been cutting back now for a couple of years, including a traffic person in the morning. Hiring a another weather person to do the 2nd half of a show looks like nothing more then keeping the other weather person on until her contract ends.

That's exactly what it sounds like, Irishfl. Big mistake on Fox 29's part if you ask me. Turns out Serio as quite a large following. A bit difficult to understand. Mosey is not younger, she's rapidly approaching the big 50. She has absolutely no personality, and no ability to ad lib. Those are things you cannot fix. She isn't degreed in the science. NYC certainly wasn't impressed with her. They didn't even want her for their a.m. wknd slot. I can only assume she has extremely good connections. In the first 60 seconds of her on-air time today, she made enough mistakes that I quickly changed the channel. I feel many others will be doing the same thing once 7 a.m. rolls around.

I've given up on watching Good Day Philadelphia after 7am. It's pointless banter and bad personalities that have me leaving in disgust. I actually do like the idea of having the CBS3 Eyewitness News on the CW after the sun comes up. I really don't see the point of FOX 29 splitting the morning hosts like this. Sounds really inconsistent...

You mean, as opposed to the "Wake UP News"? ;D
