WHERE is The Cowboy?

I have noticed that Jeff Brantley is missing from the Reds broadcast booth. Seems like a strange time to take time off... What's going on?

Just heard a Reds promo... sounds like Jeff is back tonight. Can't figure out why he would take time off in the middle of the season. ???

With the number of broadcasters the Reds have, each one will have X number of games off during the season. I believe Marty has a week off twice during the season. And remember, if Kelch or Brantley is not heard on the radio, they also cross over in the TV booth for x number of games. If the schedule is like last year, Thom may even join Marty on radio for a series

Thanks for the clarification. I don't have a TV anymore, so that thought had not occurred to me. Still no Cowboy on the radio tonight. Not sure why I prefer listening when he's doing PBP... I strongly suspect it could be the similarity in his dialect to the late, great Ernie Harwell.
