Where is the RMS

They aren't there today... They aren't even running "best of"... just playing an old show from last winter ???

Vacation, perhaps?

Someone is probably sick. Russ has allergy problems sometimes. They more than likely didn't have a best-of ready to go so they grabbed something that wasn't a couple weeks old.

Oh please.... Since when do employers allow time off for "allergy problems'?

Oh, Robert, get real. The world, as you like to point out to me, is not always the color you would like to paint it.

Some people's allergies are life-threatening. As in "they stop breathing" or somesuch. I go to a doctor in LA sho treates serious allergy patients from all over the world... including members of the Royal Family from Saudi Arabia, even. These people travel hundreds and thousands of miles because they have allergies that can kill (the same doctor treated Limbaugh's allergy-related hearing loss) or disable. Many such sufferers take antigen shots as often as every 3 days in a multi-year program to reduce the mistaken reactions of the auto-immune system that cause allergic reactions.

If employers give time off for the flu or outpatient surgery, they HAVE to give time off for severe allergies. Allergies, for some, are very, very serious.

Until you have also been resuscitated by paramedics and rushed to the ER after you stopped breathing due to allergies, you should not make that kind of uneducated and insensitive remark. Shame on you.

So you're saying Rush Limbaugh is allergic to Oxycontin? I thought that's what ruined his hearing.

I think he's allergic to that last trend...HA CHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

"...Limbaugh's allergy-related hearing loss..."

Is that what he's claiming? Sheesh, he can't even be honest about the drug abuse that cost him his natural hearing.

David...

NO, YOU GET REAL!!!!!

Allergies are just that. Allergies are not contagious and normally there's no fever.

So there's no reason to miss work, unless you use up your sick days or vacation days.

Go find someone else to argue with...

Roberto,

For some people allergies can be debilitating requiring shots and sometimes daily medications just to get by. A bad spell can screw them up so bad they can't go on the air. I've seen it happen so don't judge until you walk in that person's shoes.

Just sayin.

A person with significant allergies can not work when suffering the stronger effects. There are, in fact, what are called "life threatening allergies" which can cause a person to stop breathing, for one example. The most common effect of allergies is not sneezing or congestion, it is fatigue... sometimes so bad a person litterally blacks out. People with this kind of allergy can run fevers, and be unable to stay conscious.

Even under antigen treatment, the process of "teaching the body" to behave can take many years; from the time I had several ambulance rides and stopped breathing to today has been over 6 years; I am still sensitive to pollution and many other things despite over 700 antigen shots and have to leave the city on weekends. When one has a "bad day" it is often not safe to leave one's home (I have a $10,000 air filtration sysem).

So, stop making light of what is a debilitating and sometimes life-threatening affliction. Read up on it a little; I'll bet you have students who are affected and it might help you to be more understanding if you recognized that the "cure" is not taking a Claritin pill.
