Where is this Jack FM located?

I typed "jack fm" into Windows Live Search and found this Jack as one of the results... 95.5/95.9 Jack FM. Odd thing is... this Jack uses the Jack "character" that CBS Radio uses on their Jack stations.. but this one isn't listed on the CBS Radio website. On the site itself it says.. "The popularity of "JACK" has sky rocketed since our Sister Station KJAC in Denver launched the format in the U.S in April 2004."...not only is that wrong as KJAC is a Fort Collins station, but perhaps this station is also owned by NRC Broadcasting? If so, is it allowed to use the "character" which only CBS has used? It HAS to be in the Mountain time zone.. since the time on the site is 2 hours behind me (I'm east coast)... but it's not the Aspen/Vail, CO Jack FM...One more interesting thing... this Jack isn't mentioned on Jack.FM either. The link for this station? -------> http://www.jackintheboat.comPerhaps Jack Garrett will drop by to fill us in on this.. or me anyway.. since I'm confused.

This is out of the Hayden/Craig/Steamboat Springs, CO area. The 95.9 frequency covers that area. 95.5 is a translator signal specifically for Steamboat Springs. There are owned by NRC.I was not aware that there was another Jack in Colorado besides Ft. Collins and Aspen. My guess is that the Jack logo CBS uses for some of its stations is for their use. I'm not aware of any other operators who use that logo, so I do stand corrected if any non-CBS station uses the it too.

Well, I updated the website. Not enough time in the day to keep up it seems! :DTo clarify your other question: KJAC is licensed to Timnath, CO (a City Of License which I always thought should be said like "TIMMY" from South Park). It is a big station in Fort Collins - they only do ratings there two times a year and covers a chunk of Denver. The 105.5 signal also blankets Boulder (it was originally a Cheyenne, WY station and got moved but still covers the original COL). It is also currently the only JACK that gets an on-air signal into my home station of Nebraska...even if only hits Kimball! :eek:CJ

CBS usually (but may not always) has the format in the top20 or top50 markets...below that, ABC Radio syndicates it in the smaller markets.....(all licensed by Jack-FM's owners). If its fed by ABC Radio Networks, it has all the normal Jack FM feel with slogans, voice, etc.
