Does that skinny little Eye-talian General Manager at KICKS 101.5 have a vendetta going against our boy Jim Vann? How else could one account for the fact that Jim seems once again to be relegated to a red-haired step-child position on the morning show? I thought that once Dago-boy fixed the morning show by installing Cadillac Jack, Kristin and Jim, all would be right with the world. Suddenly, Jimmy doesn't get to talk or interact with the other talent unless he's doing traffic or news/weather.
This morning show NEEDS Jim Vann and his quick wit and smart mouth as an equal to Caddy and Kristin, not just a mute sidekick. Caddy and Kristin also need to do some show prep before they get there. The last major talent team to sit in those studio chairs in the morning was Moby, Deborah and JIM VANN. They always had FUNNY and entertaining bits, and they made me laugh out loud. They also won an ACM award for best morning show in AMERICA back in 1998. The present team occasionally makes me smile, and they will always be viewing the ACM awards from their comfortable chairs at home.
If the GM wants to be the "victor" in the ratings wars, he's going to get off his narrow rump and promote the morning show like it deserves. The morning show should outperform the rest of the station. But look at the latest numbers that came out. Plain white bread radio won't get you into the top three in this market. Combine a bad book with new owners taking over soon, and you have a recipe for major changes from top to bottom at KICKS.
But hey....I could be wrong though...it's happened before....
