Where to Find Paul Harvey in Eastern Iowa

Since WHO-AM and WMT-AM dropped ABC and Paul Harvey where can one find him (morning, noon and night) on eastern Iowa AM radio? Good day.

Found Paul Harvey at radio station 950 AM in Oelwein, IA. Jeez, what's next? listening to other ABC shows on smaller market sticks with less power?

I believe KWLO carries Paul Harvey as well.

www.paulharvey.com has an affiliates list, but it seems to be very out of date (still lists KOEL 92.3 and all of the Clear Channel stations that just dropped him). You can also listen to the morning and Noon reports on demand, but they're not available until several hours after broadcast.

In the Cedar Rapids-Iowa City area you can try WGN/720, KBOE/740, KOEL/950, KWLO/1330, KXIA/101.1, and KBOE-FM/104.9. They all have weak signals in the corridor, though.

Paul Harvey's not likely to pick up any new affiliates unless ABC changes its strategy. They require stations to affiliate with one of their news networks to carry him, and that requires a few minutes of commercials every hour 24/7, plus a monthly payment outside of rated markets.

Thanks for the update on Paul Harvey listening in the eastern Iowa cooridor. Many people like me have listened to Paul for more years than I want to reveal. It is a real loss not hear him in this market (aside from weak signals from long distance stations.) With WHO and WMT dropping him a whole segment of Iowa is lost to his reports. Perhaps ABC will figure how to get him back into CC territory--that will have to be the 'rest of the story.'
