Where was R-I?

They heard YOU were coming...

Nah, I spent the time in my basement working on morning show bits for the streaming radio station I'm going to put on-line someday so I can take over Syracuse. After all, I was trained by legends, and have years of experience.

I already have my weather guy lined up.

Re: They heard YOU were coming...

Lady,
If youre talking about me, which we would have to decypher. I played with my kids, went bowling and sledding this weekend. You should talk to normal humans more often, it will help you a lot, honestly. Havent touched internet radio for a long time, ill leave that up to the big teams with sales forces. A challenge, if we knew who you were would be great. I guarantee i can double your ratings on half the wattage. Ill put a grand on it.

Got Any Collateral?

So, you'll pay $1000.00 for the opportunity to be on the radio for one rating book - and expect to be paid while you're working? And you think ANYBODY would be stupid enough to take that deal?

Tell you what, B-Ho. Go get yourself a job in Remsen or Little Falls (if they'll have you), or part-time in Norwich or Cortland, and show us that you can maintain the numbers from the guys who preceded you.

This is Radio 2006. We deal with REALITY here, not BS "guarantees".

Re: Got Cash?

Been there done that lady. Got all the documentation you need. If you can find someone to hold the grand, for 8 books. Ill sign the psc for three years and not take a dime till the end of the first. Has to be a local station. You dont think your podunk 8000 watt signal is any bigger than a remsen station do you? Youre in Syracuse, not Manhattan. Solid proof here, and the grand is against YOU. I cant wait to watch you cry.

Your Cash Ain't Nothin' But Trash

Look, moron, it's well documented here that I'm not in the Syracuse market anymore. I'm in the Buffalo market, and I wouldn't even put you on my COMPETITORS radio station because I respect them more than that.

You have demonstrated NOTHING. You have shown NO numbers, the snippets of audio you've provided have been AWFUL, and you have NO track record that would lead any rational human being to give you eight MINUTES of airtime, let alone 8 BOOKS worth.

And that's without having to try and justify it to corporate.

So, maybe you should STFU until you have SOMETHING to show that you can back up your repeated claims. Even your hero, Howard, started in college radio, then went to a small market. He built a career from the ground up. You want to start in a mid-sized market in very different circumstances now that virtually all radio stations are corporate-owned. And don't tell me about your "experience" doing overnights in Utica 15 years ago, or your "club disk-jockey" days spinning disco tunes for drunken college students.

You're a never-was who wants to commit to doing a morning show PART-TIME. That shows how little you know about doing 4 or 5 hours of radio a day.

If you can scratch up $1000.00, buy yourself some airtime on a brokered station and PUT UP or SHUT UP. If you have HALF the talent that you CLAIM to have, they'll line up to hire you.

I'm of the opinion that after imbibing in substances that kill brain cells for so many years, you don't have half the BRAIN that you once may have had.
