Where were the Eagles on the radio last night???????

Tuned into the X to have Merrill Reese's PBP and there was no game. What's going on? And do you think the X may have trouble selling spots this year with Michael Vick now an Eagle?

If you are a "Yorker" than yes..I agree with the Ravens comment.
But, outside of the huge contingent of "displaced Steelers fans" (hours from Pittsburgh),
Central PA is still Eagles territory.

That being said, somebody has to pick up these games. Perhaps............98.5 the Peak...........or.............96.1 WSOX?

If you can get 830 AM WEEU, Reading I think they are still on there. I can get WYSP here in Lancaster, though not always clear. Can't believe nobody more central is carrying them this year. Of course we don't have Phillies coverage here either...

3 hours to Pittsburgh from York, and almost 3 hours to Philly. No, this is not Eagles territory. Eagles are the same pathetic Eagles before I left this area in 1996, and the same pathetic Eagles when I arrive back in town 13 years later. I know, maybe this is their year - maybe they'll make the NFC championship again....I actually have Eagles friends who think all those NFC Championships should make me more proud of the Eagles than 6 Super Bowl rings.

No, NFC Championships do not equal Super Bowl rings. I'm not attacking the Steelers and their accomplishments at all.
I'm just pointing out that since the X dropped the Birds, there is an obvious hole in the market.

And to the comment about the Phillies...thank god for WLBR. Otherwise, all we'd have is that ridiculous low powered York station.
I'm surprised....in Lancaster.....1390 WLAN didn't pick up the games. But CC dropped Penn State this year in Harrisburg. So I guess
they're getting out of the PBP business to save money.

BTW------Philly is no more than two hours from Harrisburg and York and even closer from Lancaster.

Pittsburgh is farther away.

the X isn't airing the eagles prob.... because of TPA going football heavy on the weekends..... I agree with the ravens comment ( THEY ROCK ). Gotta say smart move on bob adams part because people who don't want football and just rock music they can find that on the X. while sat and sun is nothing but a board-op running football games weekend in and weekend out.

It's the rights fees! Citadel won't pay and can't. The are so upside down. They can't sell enough to cover the costs. If it was free everyone would be all over it.

they wouldn't just air the regular season and not the pre-season games as well. The X isn't airing the eagles plain and simple. MY QUESTION to the panel is WHO SHOULD GO AFTER THE EAGLES??? and btw... doesn't woyk air the eagles?

Given this topic some more thought since I started this thread. If someone does step up and gets the Eagles on board before the regular season begins, the rights fees should be greatly lowered. This will be a tougher sale now because of the Michael Vick signing.

I don't think so---with all the press the Eagles have gotten in the past week, they just became MORE valuable if anything. There will be a small minority of vocal critics who will scream loud, but the bottom line is they just hired their replacement for McNabb when he retires in 2 years.

I heard that the right's fees paid by Citadel were through the roof. That's got to be the reason. By the way.....for Eagle's fans upset about Michael Vick's signing.....as soon as Donovan has a bad game.....they'll be crying for Vick. Trust me on this!

You got that right. Typical of Eagles fans.
