Where Will Ed Carroll Pop Up ?

Ed Carroll seems too knowledgeable of a meteorologist not to show up on another television station. Anyone have any word where that may be?

Also, I noticed some tension between Carroll and some of the news anchors over the past few months before he left. Was he difficult to get along with on the set?

Who's did they replace him with?
I recall this is not the first time WBZ tried to replace Bruce and it failed. Back in the 80's they tried someone for evening newscasts. Yeah, that worked out...

Carroll is done.

Mish Michaels is in. Unofficially official.

They bounced him 3 times. Dave Murray. Nancy Russo. Ed Carroll. All nice people. All weak and inaccurate mets. Mish is superb. She's up there with Harvey who's the king of Boston mets.

Never thought Ed Carroll was weak. Thought he was very accurate and he will be hard to replace even though Mish is excellent.

Jerry's words of wisdom never lose their power. "They're out there...."
"Wake Up, America! "

Unfortunately, I don't see Ed Carroll moving to another station in Boston... I don't think too many of the other stations are envious of BZ's talent pool. 5 has plenty of meteorologists already; 7 is happy with Todd/Pete/Chikage; 25 wants a younger/hipper image than Ed brings, and 56 already has Wankum, who isn't going anywhere. The only place I could see Ed going is NECN at some point. Maybe he could get a gig in Rhode Island, but most likely he will either have to leave the TV business, or move his family to a new location. Too bad for him. He certainly was no superstar, but he was a good meteorolgist, a decent local guy, and he had a long history at Channel 4... since his days "interning" with Don Kent as a youngster.

I doubt that R.I. would be interested. 10 already has like 8 meteorologists on-staff. 12 seems to be happy with Tony, Steve, and T.J. 6 probably doesn't have the money, although they could definitely use someone of Ed's caliber.

I would hope that Carroll would not go to the Tabloid 'If it Bleeds It Leads' station.

I know this may be a step down but could WMUR be a possibility? Chris Thomas is leaving the station 10/1 for a job in Mass (sounds like WSI). Maybe Manchester would be a good stop for him now. I'm not too high on Josh Judge or Bill Gile so I would hope they would look outside the station.
