Where will the ALT 92.3 Refugees Go? Options?

Wait, you are hearing other phones when you are streaming through your phone?
I have never once streamed through a phone of my own. I'm referring to hearing other people's phones play music.

Also, the first time I ever listened to audio on a library computer, it sounded like it was under water, so I couldn't imagine why anyone would want to do that. Later my cousin got me speakers since I had gotten a monitor without them.

Honestly I’ve never heard a bad stream through a phone. With good speakers it sounds great.

I think there are a bunch of options. I listen to www.weqx.com 102.7 Manchester, VT, https://wdarefm.com/ You also have 107.1 The Peak https://www.1071thepeak.com/ 100.1 WDST www.wdst.com
WDST is in the Upper part of the Hudson Valley. WRRV is in the lower part of the Hudson Valley you can really only receive it in the tri-state area in the northern part of West Milford, NJ towards Warwick, NY and Ringwood, NJ. I recall growing up my parent's house was on a hill I could get both Hudson Valley and NYC stations clearly. Once we went into the center of town those Hudson Valley signals would fade out leaving us with NYC signals only. West Milford is 80 square miles and it's signal interferes with 92.7 WFME the closer you go towards the city. If only Townsquare brought WFME and then added booster signals across NJ and CT they could have blanketed the Tri State area.

Still appalling and embarrassing NYC the LARGEST market in the country can't get a current based rock station or a country station. Smaller cities have more variety than NYC!

Keep in mind it has nothing to do with the size of the city. It has to do with advertising.

There are rock and country stations in the suburbs. Just not in the city.

Can they get ratings with news though? Or will people just tune out.

It's been established for years that New Yorkers will listen to news on the radio. And news is very much a foreground format, which means advertisers can count on their messages being not just heard but listened to to a greater extent than the same ads on most music stations. People won't "just tune out" because the station is on FM now. If anything, the superior audio quality of FM will make listening to WINS on FM a more pleasant experience.

While it wouldn't amount to much - I wish Audacy would add a few more HD subchannel rock stations to the mix - one can replace the 102.7 HD3 one left behind by 1010WINS. Would also be nice if IHeart put back the rock format that they had (and I enjoyed) on 104.3 HD2 or HD3. I know that particular station is gone (it was called The Alternative Project) but IHeart must have others they can plug in 'on the cheap'. They can use it to plug thier respective apps.

Is anyone listening to Alt 92.3 HD2 (either over the air or online)? I listen only occasionally to the Alt format, but I like many of the songs that this channel is playing. But I have only listened for about an hour.

I agree. The music mix is much better and no commercials at least for now.
