Where would there be another 95.5?

Big skip over the weekend, over down at my place just north of Victoria, I was getting another dance mixshow, not HotZ 95, but another one fighting with hotZ I couldnt figure out where that one might be from, This morrning I was able to recieve 99.5 KPLX out of Dallas as clear as can get down there. I also was getting a classic country station on 97.3? I got that one once before but never found a id or got it long enough to get a ID.

I'm guessing here, but could the one on 95.5 have been from East Texas, like K-FOX (KAFX) Diboll/Lufkin? The only classic country I can come up with on 97.3 is KKLY from Pecos TX, but somehow I doubt that's the one you heard. Tropo from that direction to where you are is pretty unusual.

There is a country station in Birmingham, AL on 97.3 that plays a deep catalog. But, since E-skip season is over, I doubt that is what you heard. But, you never know.....................

More than likely it could of been that one out of Pecos, it did have a deep base sound to it or it could of been out of Birmingham..., then around 11:30pm KJ-97 started to come over the top of it, I think just about anything is possible down there in that area where I go over the weekends, funny things happen at night, one night I got a station it was 95.1 cant remember the calls, but it was in Florida.
______________

If, on the off chance it was e-skip, 95.5 could possibly be WKQI (Channel 955) out of Detroit. They have a dance mixshow around that time, and I know we tend to get quite a bit of e-skip from down your way up here.

That could also be another possibility, like I said strange things happen there at night ;).
Have you ever caught lonestar 104.7 or 98.7 Texas Radio up there anytime yet?

Can't say I have, but Lawppy might have. He's caught a ton more Texas DX than I probably ever will :)

Post 879 dedicated to no station whatsoever!
______________
