Also reported on Don Barrett's site with a quote from Archer himself. No reason given just that he exited and is looking forward to his next opportunity. Maybe he'll make an appearance here again.

Yeah I woke up to those stories and headlines this morning.
It's really too bad. KBIG never seemed to know what it had in the guy.
They should've left him in middays. He sounded funny, happy and relaxed
there last year, and then they put him back on nights.
Hope he can catch on somewhere else. He'd sound great on Star.

Thank you, Calguy!

*****

The news has hit the radio trades today, but yesterday KBIG and I parted ways.

I was a part of the KBIG family for almost seven years. In that time I served in a variety of roles under three different program directors and four different general managers. Not to mention three different owners! Most recently I had been the assistant program director and host of "Disco Saturday Night," and "Boogie Nights."

New opportunities are on the horizon and I will keep everyone posted. After 26 years in the business, I won't be changing careers anytime soon! Well, unless Comedy Central gives me a TV show.

Thank you,
Archer

Archer has left the building...

According to R&R and LAradio.com, he has indeed exited the station after being at KBIG for 6 years.

One would wonder if he may go over the KRTH with our friend Mr. Kaye, but would one wonder that if the wondering was wonderful?

I got an e-mail from him that said he had several irons in the fire. Don't know if KRTH is one.<P ID="signature">______________
