Dave has been promoted. And not to 'corn beef & eggs heaven', either. He's very much alive and doing mornings now for Jones Network instead of his evening 'Diner' program. Jones Network long-running morning host Ted 'The Bear' Richards a couple months back and is doing afternoons for WOMC/Detroit. Last I spoke with Richards he was very much looking forward to the move to 'OMC. Hopefully Dave Sanders is happy with the change as well. I enjoyed his 'schtick' and the concept of 'Dave's Diner'. He could have expanded the oldies playlist a bit, though. A bit boring and predictable towards the end.

What happenend?

There's a "Daddy Dave's Hollywood Diner" at http://davewood.com/diner/index.html. XM satellite radio carries the show on Friday nights, and it's archived for a week on the Diner website. This show is definitely not the "same old stuff". In fact, a lot of the music might be too obscure for the casual listener.

Did he just play stale late '60s tunes like any other station?

Or did he mix in more late 50s and early 60s?

Years ago I think I heard him sneak in "When I Grow Up to Be a Man" and "Heroes and Villains" by the Beach Boys. Now, that was a gas!
