Where's Greggo Take III

Seems that Hammer is uncomfortably absent for a week now from his afternoon gig on 105.3. The staff is acting like Greggo who?

Wow, the Ticket just played the "Get Off the Sick, Cat" bit at the end of the Hardline.

Got out of a meeting just in time to hear it. Never gets old. Don't tell Rhynes!

From what his girlfriend said on twitter I am thinking he is ill. I am speculating that it relates to the thumb stomach.

mental ward, or a suicide. He's not an organic nut...but a junkie, and its made him a nut. That's the speculation from his banished kin folk @ KTCK anyway.

Say what you want about Greggo's talent or lack therof, but I loved the Hardline back in the day and clearly do not wish any ill will. This just has the feeling of one of those stories that isn't going to have a happy ending

Here's hoping Gregg is back on the air soon. He's someone who's been through alot and come out on the other side.

The Fan was stlll promo'ing RAGE this morning. They'd have kiboshed that if Greggo had backslid. It would've been RAE, or more properly RE instead.

They should hope be comes back. There's no way Richie Whitt can carry that show on his own.

Of course, when you're already in ratings wasteland, I guess it doesn't matter.

In all seriousness, his claims that this absence wasn't drug-affected is a bunch of crap. The man takes sleeping pills every day. He's addicted to Ambien. He used the drug to sleep away the days. No one should be taking sleeping pills every day, certainly not a recovering opiate abuser.

His alleged girlfriend sounds more like an enabler. What did she do to respond to his so-called depressive state? Who did she call for help?

Anyone who claims to be his friend should think about staging an intervention. A in-patient medical detox should be considered. Whatever his unspoken medical condition is, it should not be used to mask his psychological and pharmacological issues. The man needs treatment and ongoing professional help.

Oh, and someone should take all his guns away until he is cleared by a psychiatrist.

Ain't all of the above the truth! The road Greggo's going on ain't gonna end well for him.

As much as I like Greggo, he needs to take both personal and professional responsibility for his actions. He's failing not only himself, but his friends/station colleagues. I hate saying this, but I can now see why The Ticket dropped him..

That's an awful ignorant and uninformed thing to say. Ever heard of Shift Work Sleep Disorder? My wife is a nurse and works 12-hour night shifts on the weekend and tries to go back to regular sleep hours during weekdays. She takes Ambien every night.

I guess my take is different.

I don't think personal responsibility involves answering to anyone here, or any co-workers.

If I entered rehab tomorrow, obviously an employer would have to be told, but other than that, I wouldn't think for a second it was anyone's business, but my own.

I don't think Greggo owes Rhyner, Shan Shariff, or anyone else dinky doo. I wouldn't be allowed to get involved in any of my co-workers health related issues, and I don't understand why they think they're entitled.
