The new package actually sounds like the WRAL-FM Raleigh package (I was up there on vacation a couple of weeks back).
I thought Cox was going away from jingles altogether. I know most of their other AC's did so. Sister station 95.5 The Beat dropped jingle a while back, and The River never had any. I thought the B98.5 would just drop jingles as a money saver.
Less talking...theme weekends...new jingles. I wonder what else they got coming.
Don't Cox AC's often do stuff in tandem? For example, Cox stations in both Honolulu and Tampa were "voted #1 for the most music while you work" while B98.5 was.
I had a chance to listen some more...and I believe they are using CHR jingles instead of AC/hot AC ones. I am not kidding! You all may need to listen to this one.
This may be more appropriate for an station that has Chumbawamba's "Tubthumping" and Pink's "Get The Party Started" on their playlist.
