Where's Jenn?

Funny thing is that her picture is still on the morning show page, but her name is gone. It's just Keith.

Did anyone else also noticed that WKDD has changed their playlist to a more CHR/Top 40 sound with the slogan "Akron's Hit Music!"?

I think the situation in Akron is similar to what's going on here in Cleveland.

WKDD is going into "Kiss" territory, and their Hot AC tunes are going over to WHOF "My 101.7", tweaking that station from Soft AC to more Mainstream AC.

Kinda like how Q 104 is becoming more of a CHR/Top 40 station, with their displaced tunes going over to WDOK, nudging it from "Soft Rock 102" to the more Mainstream AC "New 102".

Surprisingly Kennedy has not come on here and told us what has happened to her. Usually you can find him chiming in all the time about WKDD. Everything is hush hush about her both on facebook and elsewhere.

That's because it isn't about him.

I just checked their site now, and I see her photo is finally gone. When I first posted on this thread, the pic was still there. Her FB page is surprising. People were asking her what happened and when she'll return. She never spoke other than she was on some type of "vacation."

That's pathetic on her departure is being handled. I can basically call it that since she's gone from 'KDD and their website. Someone should just say she's no longer with the station and company. This is making the station look bad, as she garnered press for her voice and its recovery. Hopefully, Q104 can pick her up for weekends.

THIS JUST IN: WKDD has added a new afternoon host from Buffalo - Shannon Steele. I think she just started, and my guess, she's replacing Tessa Hall, who really was voicetracking from St. Louis.

Here's an article on her moving to Akron before landing at 'KDD: http://www.allaccess.com/net-news/a...ner-shannon-steele-moving-to-akron?ref=search

It's funny with Jenn gone, I'm hoping Shannon gets to have a longer stint at the station.

Keep in mind also that Keith is hosting a 10A-2P shift on My 101.7. Maybe there could be more changes on 98.1 in mornings.

Shannon Steele, aka Sue Tyler, when she worked at WMMS NexGen and 92.3. Very good talent. And I believe worked at WKDD back in the day.

THIS JUST IN AGAIN: Just saw on OMW's Twitter page that Jenn Ryan's replacement is...

Shannon Steele!

Now who will take over the 2-7PM shift?

I did hear Krissy Taylor in the 2PM hour earlier today. Don't know if it was part of a 10AM-3PM shift or a 2PM-7PM shift. Would be ironic to hear her take over afternoons after being paired up with Keith for mornings not too long ago.

BTW, that was a good one CleveRadioInsider! ;D
