Isn't he part of the break-away group that formed radio insight dot com? which is about as bad a discussion group as one would expect from the goobers who put it together. :D

The owners of this board should be congratulated for dumping the previous administrators of this board. Some of those guys were really arrogant....

If he was banned I'm sure it wasn't because he posted anything offensive but may have made reference to the "old ways" or the other site around the time of the switchover.He's clueless but not a troublemaker.Still he's better off at that site where the most activity is among 25 year old virgins posting about how many sausage biscuits they can eat at one sitting and what clothes they wear to work.

Hate to say it but look at the stats here when "flames" erupt on my serious posts. They tend to be the bigger page views.

So you have Steve North/South/East posting to no one and Joe Gallant writing his history of the radio industry. Yikes.

There was 1 topic on June 8 (Boston Board on "that" group) with 3 replies, 1 post on June 9 with 6 replies, 1 on June 12 with 1 reply, and 2 replies to "Mr. Moderator-I-Like Country Music-I Like George Bush" ' s brand new "Question Of The Week #1", 1 reply by someone who caused trouble and another reply by person unknown.

The key here is that the moderator had to create a "Question Of The Week" on June 18th when there were no new topics since the 12th.

Like Lou Reed said - they're all done. Stick a fork in it.
 
This new forum gets modded just as much if not more than the old one. The big difference is that the "new" site admins had the sense and the gumption to finally drag this site into the forum world. The mod tools are clearly way better now, so topics can be modded without having to use a machete.

Still, that other site is looking pretty feeble. Not much reason to go there at this point since there is no radio info being posted. ;)
 
I don't want to take sides yet,but I feel one of the things that hurt the other Boston board was the way to many "WRKO gets Sox"threads were posted about a week after it came online.
As for J.G. too many people obsessed with his post count and they should not have.Some times he was right & sometimes wrong,no big deal as long as you are not being hurtful(like a certain current member here)
 
Agreed freq lost, but those two individuals seemed to have calmed down lately. Maybe the mods spoke to them. Paul Walker - Great to have you back. Are you back in Boston?
 
Mr. Gallant is over on the "other board" with the biggest group of wannabee broadcasters. That board has most of the same nazi moderators they had on the old Radio-Info. He hasn't posted here since the new management took over. There are two tyrants on message boards: Julius and Gallant. Gallant is gone from this board, but Julius isn't. Neither of them have posted anything hateful, but they were always pains in the ass with their ridiculous demands/complaints (Julius) and off-the-wall predictions (Gallant).
 
The moderation here is much better now than the previous moderation, the site is faster... No contest.

And just what the hell is wrong with that? I look over here and it's a bunch of comediands planning over the 2008 elections. If push comes to shove, I'll take another sausage biscut. It might be unhealthy but so is a DemoPublican, and the DemPub isn't tasty

Look, there's two sites. This one and Insight. You have a choice on where to go. As Lopez says, if you don't like it, don't look at it.

excellent. perfect mariiage, if you ask me. gallant and that overzealous moderator were responsible for instigating most of the flamefests under the old regime.
 
While I was friends with Steve on a professional level, there are certain things he did that I dnd't agree with.

Obviously, his moderations of the boards........ he blamed the problems on everyone but himself.
