You may have to excuse Larry Krueger if he's all over the map Saturday night.
Alongside Chris Townsend, the former KNBR 680 hosts will debut their weekly program on Sports 1140 KHTK, "The Krueg-Townie Show" a 5-9 p.m. show that broadens the station's quest for more local programming.
He and Townsend will be breaking in a new audience, offering a mixture of serious (Krueger) and silly (Townsend). They will host their program from a Bay Area station, a part-time gig to go with their full-time ones (Townsend works for San Francisco's Free FM 106.9).
Krueger has known 1140 station manager Mike Remy since the early 1990s, when Krueger was a Sacramento State student and did some fill-in work at 1140. And Remy doesn't see this as a risk.
