Where's Market 15?

Does anyone have the numbers for morning drive? I would be curious to see how DPL and his Wacky Pack on Ex 103 punto nueve fared against Holmberg and others.

If I ever decide to become a professional psychic, I will need to attach a copy of the recent ratings and some of my past posts from 2008 and 2009 to my resume!

Oh, and not only that, but they also play THE MOST dance music out of ALL Phoenix stations! Maybe I should attach a copy of my "Dance Music Comeback theory" postings from back then as well...

Not really. They just play Top40. If its not on the charts, they won't play it. Give your credit to Billboard, not KZON

Well KZON deserves some of it. After all, they're not the only ones following the billboards, yet they still managed to rise from the bottom to (be the only one in) the top and put others down... ... In addition to helping me to heighten my level of psychic ability!
 
I think they win by default. They are not trying to be Dance. They are not trying to be Hip Hop. They play Hits....whatever they may be. Adele, Hot Chelle Rae, Britney, Pitbull, LMFAO, and so on. If the Hits come across as Dance, then that's just the trend currently. KZON will sound like something else next book. I think the key to winning is also in what they DON'T play, like the stuff on Power (who BTW is pretty much tied with your other favorite KMVA now).
 
By the way, I wouldn't say they win by default because they not only entered into heavy competition, but even have more competition now! KKFR and KMVA's signals are basically about the same (so I've heard) and KKFR did beat KZON for a while in the beginning, so KMVA could too... And not to mention KZZP. Unlike WWWQ on a huge powerful signal and WWVA on a little signal, KZON is competing with other stations that actually could beat them.... if only they knew how to be as good as KZON! ;)

Ever since KKFR has been on 98.3, they have struggled at keeping a 3 share (keep in mind they would remain in upper 4s or higher on 92.3). KZON did badly as Free FM, so of course Power beat them in the beginning while they were becoming known as Jamz. Those days are over. Jamz now has a reputation of being consistant, and they beat Kiss because they don't play Taylor Swift, Miley Cyrus or Justin Bieber. Plus they have a better line up. There is very little talent on the competiton. So yes, that's where I see winning by default. There really isn't another place to go unless you like static or voice tracked garbage.
