His scheduled appearances for the rest of August 2009 are (according to the schedule posted at http://web.yesnetwork.com/schedule/programs/mikefrancesa/index.jsp):
Monday 08.10.09 - 1:00PM Mike Francesa
Tuesday 08.11.09 - 1:00PM Mike Francesa
Thursday 08.13.09 - 1:00PM Mike Francesa
Wednesday 08.19.09 - 1:00PM Mike Francesa
Thursday 08.20.09 - 1:00PM Mike Francesa
Friday 08.21.09 - 1:00PM Mike Francesa [probably the "Bar A(nticipation)" Show at Lake Como, NJ (formerly South Belmar, NJ) featuring Southside Johnny & The Asbury Jukes]
Should Mike be up in the area visiting Saratoga Race Course (Saratoga Springs, NY), one of the above shows could be at the N.Y. Giants training camp at the University at Albany (Albany, NY) & one show could be at the N.Y. Jets training camp at SUNY Cortland (Cortland, NY).
Mike will probably then be off for the next two weeks + Labor Day (Mon. 9/7/09), returning on Tues. 9/8/09. That would total more than 6 weeks vacation + 2 holidays from Friday, July 3, 2009 through Monday, September 7, 2009. He'll next take some time off in mid-to-late December/early January (about 5 days - none of them a Sunday since he'll be hosting the "NFL Now" radio show/TV simulcast on YES & most likely none of them a "football" Friday with picks/analysis), followed by a few days/a week in mid-to-late February after the Super Bowl. Then maybe a few days/a week in the spring before the cycle starts again.
This vacation schedule for summer isn't all that unusual, even back in the "Mike & The Mad Dog" years. For the most part, from late June to early September Mike & Chris Russo would pretty much alternate 1 or more vacation weeks & rarely do a show together, except for the special event shows such as the football training camp shows, important baseball games/series (eg. Yankees/Red Sox in Yankee Stadium or Fenway Park; Mets/Phillies or Mets/Braves @ Shea), celebrity/charity/pro-am golf tournaments, last year's baseball All-Star Game Fan fest in New York, the "Bar A" end-of-summer show & in the early years: the opening day of U.S. Open Tennis at Flushing Meadows, NY (Mike hadn't attended that event with Chris in recent years). The only difference this year is that when Mike is off, instead of in the past where (usually) Chris Russo would do a solo show (or another host or hosts would fill in, such as Jody McDonald/Chris Carlin/Ian Eagle/Richard Neer/Adam The Bull/Kim Jones, etc.), it's been primarily Joe Benigno/Evan Roberts as the primary replacements, with maybe an occasional Adam The Bull/Jon Heyman/John Franco appearance (they've been the usual replacements in the mid-day slot for Joe & Evan when they fill in for Francesa).

Thanks for the clarification. I'm relatively new to listening to him.

Was it really necessary to quote that entire post?
