Where's the HD?

Speaking of KAAM,

Anyone notice the HD has not been working? My radio hasn't picked it up for a few days. I can't hear those Colon Clenser ads in Stereo!

Also, is it my imagination or does KRLD-AM kill the HD when Rangers Games are on? They saving on the IBOC fees or does MLB have a clause that you can only listen to baseball in its purest form: With and AC whine!

The rest of the time its fine.

-BGH

I suspect 1080 turns the IBOC off since a fans still take their radios to home games and the delay would be annoying.

Does the FM IBOC go off on weeknight home games though? Especially since they have Frisco Roughriders games on their HD-2 sub channel.

Far as I can tell it goes off all the time a game is on. The hd signals are seperate. Fans HD2 has a delay of up to 2 and a half minutes from the standard signal of the AM side.

It would be "nice" if these modern digital mdes worked in "real time' like the first digital systems, radio teletype, or CW. ;D
Yes, CW is digital. It is asynchronous serial mode, two states, on or off.
