Where's Waldo? Eatin' Dayton Alive!

He also helped launch Main Line's first Adult Hits station, Liberty 98.9. I hope one of his first decisions is to dump John O'(Makes Me want to Hurl)ey from the imaging. I never liked him as host of "Family Feud", and I don't like hearing him on the radio. At least "FF" dumped him!

(WGTZ, you may recall, had the infamous legal ID that went, "Eaton/Dayton, alive." ;D )

This is a technicality, but it actually went, "WGTZ Eaton/Dayton and Springfield Alive."

Springfield had not yet been "Eaton" in the early days of Z93.

When Z-93 first launched, I remember it doing a 6 share...and this was from a signal that DID NOT reach into Springfield(This was when the signal was in Eaton and not in its current location). Rob is exactly right. I'm not exactly sure but I believe the signal is in Bellbrook or Brookville. Here is the current signal map from Radio-locator, which also notes that the current license began on April 25. 1985, probably when this tower was first used: http://radio-locator.com/cgi-bin/pat?call=WGTZ&service=FM&status=L&hours=U

About 20 years ago when I lived in Dayton I remember another saying that went like this. Would you rather be "Dayton" a girl from Eaton or "Eaton" a girl from Dayton? ;D

CLASSIC!!! Love it! 8)

I was listening to 92.9 the other day, and one of their plugs was pretty close to that. I do believe the guy with the funny voice said "I can't remember if tonight I am Meetin' a girl from Dayton, or Datin' a girl from Eaton!" Working with guys from Dayton, I've heard the Eaton/Dayton jokes quite frequently, and when I heard 92.9 air that, I about lost it. Took me a second though to realize he said "Meeting" instead of "Eating."
