"Where's Waldo"

I guess all that iBiquity/cartel hot gas inflated the HD supporter's orange jump suits and they floated away in their jet stream of hot air. Never to return?;D

"Where's Waldo - FOLLOW UP"

"Taking a page out of radio’s guerrilla marketing playbook, we had HD Radio orange uniformed street teams (15 people) handing out HD Radio VIP lanyards at the People Mover stations as attendees traveled to the two “industry days” (32,000 auto executives, engineers and employees attend the Auto Show). We handed out 21,000 lanyards which were well received..." :D

Not to question reality, but you are asserting that Ibiquity is using "an old beat-up HD Radio van" to promote their product? Since the promotion effort is only a couple of years old at the most this would mean

1) Ibiquity thought picking up a 10 year old Econoline with body damage was good enough because it's not like they're trying to sell fidelity or quality anyway.

2) Ibiquity decided to buy a "Classic Style" restored vehicle for promotions. This would be something akin to the "Vonage Van" we see on TV.

3) You saw an HD Radio promotions van at a school, It annoyed you and you you decided to post about "Old and Beat up" with the same credibility you post "Defective" "Farse" and "Joke".

I respectfully question the accuracy of your conclusion. Others may conclude what they may based on the history of the posters.

Feel free to post your graph of "Google Internet Searchs" as Gospel Proof of why HD radio is failing.

BTW if you check the Ibiquity page there are 13 more stations since year end now listed as having HD. Don't worry, though. I'm sure Ibiquity is almost out of business and that the Promo van will be repo'ed soon

Who, are the m*rons running this total joke ? :D

Yeah, marketing at a high school. That's really stupid.

As Bugs Bunny would say "What a Buncha Maroons!"

Based on the record, iBiquity, the cartel, HD hucksters, and supporters have an almost perfect record of deception, marketing hype, distortion, and disinformation. Your previous post is pure made up hokum, and your personal speculation. Truthfulness is heavily in favor of HD opponents, who are not peddling faulty products or services.

From Jan. 17, 2007 issue of Radio World Pg. 5, right hand column:
Analysts say iBiquity has now received the last of it's venture capitol and the funding is being used to push marketing and sales...

That "old beat-up HD Radio van" might be HD's best effort to get the most bang out of their last buck. 700WLW's eyewitness description might be much more accurate then your fantasy story, Clouseau.

HD radio's time may have passed.

The van might have been a rental, with sign applied.
Eyewitness testimony is better then a barrage of biased supporter fantasies.

That's the problem. Ibiquity *should* be out of business, but it's not. They have too much help from their friends at the Friendly Candy Company.

I saw a TV commercial, last night, for the Generation Y Nissan Sentra - it showed an iPod hooked up to the in-dash radio...

SUPERCASTER,

Actually, the van was totally painted with HD Radio logos - it could have been an iBiquity van, picking up some kids, because my kids' high-school is 20 minutes from iBiquity's headquarters, in Columbia, Md. The van was the most pathetic piece of advertising, I have ever seen, just like the HD Radio buses and high-school kids in orange jump-suits, at the Detroit Auto Show:

http://jacobsmedia.typepad.com/jacobs/2007/01/peter_ferrara_p.html

It almost seems, as if, the HD Radio Alliance/iBiquity have set themselves up to be second-class citizens, not to be taken seriously.

"HD Radio Launches Outdoor Campaign at Auto Show"

"During the show, a 15-person HD radio street team will paint the town orange as they fan out in orange jump suits and hats to hand out HD Radio lanyards and VIP cards." :D

This low-budget, second-class ad campaign, is taken from the HD Radio Guerilla Handbook ! :D

Oh, forgot the high-school kids, in orange jump-suits:
