So I was listening to 97.1 about 1:30 on Monday afternoon while sitting here at the computer. They were playing "Piano Man" by Billy Joel. No big deal, but when it ended, it was followed by a few seconds of dead air, then "Piano Man" started again! It played all the way through for a second time, then ended again, and was even about to start for a third time! :eek: Stunting! Say it ain't so! Fortunately, after it finished playing for (at least) the second time, they killed it when it was about to start for a third time, and finally went on to something else!

Certainly not a criticism of the dj on duty at the time, because I definitely have stepped out of the studio on occasion, only to have the CD player move on to the next track while I was out.

Evidently, none of you were listening at the time, or one of you would have already commented on it! :-\
 
I experienced somewhat the same thing. I woke up Sat. morning a couple weeks ago with my radio on 97.1, and they were playing an instrumental. And I thought "Uh oh". But it was a lead-in to rerun Bob & Tom (& Carol & Alice, maybe)-
