Nick said:It would have been nice for CBS to buy 107.9 from Annapolis and bring HFS back on that, with the same equal coverage area that it had on 99.1.
I predict HFS will die a third time within 2 years.

HFS always had much better ratings in Baltimore than DC when it was on 99.1.
Besides having a better signal in Baltimore on 99.1, ‘HFS also faced a bigger challenge in the DC market with DC 101 parked alongside it in the alternative format during the latter years of HFS’s existence.InSearchOfGear said:S said:jackandcoke said:Wrong town. 40 miles too far north. True dat!
Of course, the 99.1 signal was always better in B'More than the Western DC burbs. Always thought it'd be cool to have it on 94.7, then we'd have WHFS Bethesda again.![]()

On the new 97.5, who is the jock who is currently preceding Neci in the afternoon slot? The guy sounds completely goofy. Seems like they pulled the janitor in to handle a few shows while the airstaff is being assembled.

Will the WHFS call letters officially reappear when the FM signal is boosted to 250 watts?
DToTheJ said:They've already been making a mockery of the WHFS calls for as long as "The Big Talker 1580" has been in existence.
