WHFS

just saw on the Washington/Baltimore boards that the WHFS call letters, currently parked on 106.3, are going to be retained by CBS.

The WJBW call letters are currently assigned to AM 1000 Jupiter. It's possible those call letters can return as WJBW-FM to FM 106.3 if the AM licensee grants permission to the new FM licensee to share the call letter root.

I know in the recent musical chairs in DC/Baltimore, with WHFS/WNEW/WLZL and WFSI (the same one that moved WHFS to WPB), one of the stations (that Family Radio owned) was WBGR...

Just saying, not that I know anything, but it has a "B" in it.

In fact, shortly after the CBS sale to Goodman and CBS' keeping of the WHFS call letters was announced, RadioInsight, for one, printed that WHFS 106.3 would most likely eventually become WBGR. So, it is possible but of course still unknown if that is really going to be the case.
