Has anyone heard the new format in Kingsport on 1090?
Sounds good for an AM format. Seems to be similar to 96.5 WOXL in Asheville.
Signal could use a little tuning(a little distortion)but sounds good for
10,000 watts at 1090.

> It is indeed a FINE sounding AM oldies station...too professional to be done by the locals that own it and it's sister religious stations.Wonder who is doing the syndication?

The Voiceover is John Young!

No syndication involved in this one, my friend. The architect of the "Mighty 1090" is John Bolus. I talked with him and he said that it took a lot of work, even before the new format hit the air. And people are definitely talking about the station. I've even heard it around in different places. It doesn't have the same sound as an FM would, but the music mix is the best I've heard in a long time.
