WHHS on air 10/14 Friday?

Heard a rumour that Havertown High's Class D is going back on the air tomorrow night (Friday 10/14) with a big party and return to the airwaves. The new channel is 99.9 Mhz, I believe.

According to the FCC website, they just (10/11) filed for a license to cover on 99.9, so they must be ready to go. And best wishes to 'em. They're VERY lucky to be on the band at all.

Moral of story : if they ever have an opportunity to upgrade to Class A (or better) : DO IT.

I totally agree. Congratulations to WHHS, alumni, Radio One and many, many others, including the FCC. This was a bold step by the Commission to allow a low power FM on a second-adjacent channel. Interference will be "de minimus."

As an alum of WHHS (1994-1997), I'm glad to hear that they are getting back on. I currently do afternoons on WQCM-FM in Hagerstown, MD. Any other alums from HHS out there who are currently in radio? Am I the only one to make it... well... sort of.
