Other than the colorful musings from now-former morning co-host Opie, some of the more interesting Tweets the past few days regarding 92.3 have been coming from what appear to be the official Twitter account of the new 92.3 Now - or an impostor.
Note the quiet activity at http://twitter.com/923nowfm - at this posting, 47 followers, no Tweets.
Meanwhile, at http://twitter.com/923now - 31 followers, and 6 Tweets since Thursday. One of them being, "Give me several weeks, I will be Rocking in a completely different manner." Which, depending on your point of view, is now a falsity.
Then, last night at around 7 PM - hours after the flip to 92.3 Now was public knowledge, this was Tweeted:
Hi! I'm going to be POPPIN In to NYC on Wednesday, 5 PM. LISTEN TO 92.3 THEN~!
Makes me think that the Twitter account without the "FM" attached to it is a phony... unless it's just a smokescreen... I guess we'll find out on Wednesday!
By the way, I noticed that one of the "followers" of one of these accounts is former WRXP PD Blake Lawrence. Makes me wonder if he will be involved with the new 92.3 in some capacity.
