Which Defunct LA radio stations deserve a second chance?

K...I...Q...Q!!!

Seriously, a station playing lots of import music might made some decent inroads in the 18-34 demo.

KIQQ was great in it's time....So was KUTE in the Disco era! And Power 106 in it's first 5 years! Bring em all back!!

Can't believe no one has mentioned KNX-FM. Nowadays it's probably a 35+ format, but I'll bet there's still a good core of support out there for the "mellow sound."

HD Radio? So you're the one who owns one

It not really woth buying the only decent station on HD are
92.3 HD2 Jamz
94.7 HD2 Wave Classics former Smooth Jazz format
97.1 HD2 Sohpie 103.7 in San Dieago reminds you of Star 98.7
99.1 HD2 Old School Hip Hop and Rythnmic Oldies
101.1 Old KEARTH 101 format 50's 60's
104.3 Pride Radio

Not sure what the hell is going on with 103.1 That loop is annoying

102.3 KJLH. Now I know it's not defunct but it should shift back to a true Urban AC playing just current R&B, Neo-Soul and smooth jazz.

In my opinion, AM 1260 as KSUR ("Oldies 1260"), WITHOUT rebranding it as "The Shuffle." That was the kiss of death for a once-great oldies station which likely because of declining ratings and whatnot due to the rebranding (which lasted all of five days[!]), went back to the tried-and-true adult standards format. Oh, that Saul Levine, always fixing what ain't broke!

In fact, considering how many formats and call signs have called the 1260 frequency here in L.A. home over the years, does anyone else have an opinion as to what station on 1260 deserves a second chance?

BTW, I wonder how much longer for this world their current call sign and format (KGIL, "Retro 1260," a mix of the two aforementioned formats) is?
