Which groups jumped the shark?

Kind of a spinoff from one of my responses in the other thread. I mentioned Toto in that other thread, so I will pick up with them again.

Toto: Their first album rocked, but by the mid-'80s, they were "state of the bland," as one magazine article that I saw described them.
Cheap Trick: Forgot how to rock after they returned from Budokan.
The Cars: First couple of albums were great, but "Drive" was only one letter away from "drivel."
The Knack: Great job on "My Sharona," but what did they ever do for a followup?

I remember a guy back in high school referring to KISS as one of those "get your money" bands, in that they were around just long enough to "get your money," then they were gone. He may not necessarily have been right about them (umpteen "farewell" tours notwithstanding), because they are still around today, 40 years after they got started, although they may have been cold for a spell there back in the early '80s.

"It's All I Can Do"....the best!!

The Who: When Keith Moon died (1978).
Kiss: When they took off their makeup (early '80s).
Led Zeppelin: When they released Presence (1977).
Paul McCartney: When he left the Beatles (1970). ;)
