Just wanted to take a quick poll. Which 6pm/11pm local newscast do you like best? I usually watch WABC, but it seems they cover too much Long Island news (living in NJ that has no relevance to me). WNBC comes in second for me. I like their newscast, but weather is most important to me and I find Janice Huff annoying. I almost never watch WCBS or WNYW.

Well growing up in the CT side of the NYC market, none of the stations really dig into CT News unless it's some sensational trial (Alex Kelly) or a weather event--a snowstorm or if Powerball is growing a huge jackpot. Otherwise, better have cable to watch News 12.
Other than that, I am a channel 7 watcher along with my mother--although Lori Stokes is on the annoying level with Janice Huff in the mornings. Ken Rosato is solid and Bill Evans, well he is Bill Evans, who lives in Old Greenwich by the way.
5, 6 and 11 all solid throughout. Look Bill Beutel is no longer there as we all know, but his replacements are just fine thank you.
Sometimes I would tune in NBC 4. CBS 2 has become known for me as the eat at your own risk channel. And Fox 5--ain't a fan of Idol, My9--a Fox clone; CW11--trainwreck, even back to the WB11 days.
