Which market manager is delivering the best ratings?

who's cluster is performing best w/in each stations' core demos 18-34 and 25-54?

Sandusky? Looks like all 3 are top 10 25-54 ($demo). who else?

I would have to say CC with Mix, Kiss, KESZ, Eva, KFYI, and KNIX by a long shot. Biggest biller - which is what is the most important. I don't know how much of that could be attributed to the Market Manager as all of those brands except Eva have been around for upteen years.

You can be a steward of a long-running brand and still screw it up.

I worked for a place where the GM seemed only interested in redecorating the lobby every couple of weeks and making sure there were fresh bottles of lotion and hair product in the restrooms while all the stations were hovering around 18th place. She "retired." Her replacement doesn't give a damn about what the lobby looks like and the toiletries that nobody used are gone, but all the stations are winning, the PDs get the tools they need, promotions gets the funds they need, sales gets the training it needs. It pays to have your priorities in the right places.

Interesting chart/graphic from Clear Channel Phoenix (put together for media buyers/advertisers) that shows audience demo breakouts for all stations (even non-CCM+E ones) in the market. Some results you'd figure on, some a bit surprising, others a bit...frightening - especially for some sales staffs.  ;) :D

The MEDIAN age for a KOY listener is 78? Yikes!

That young? Wow! I thought for sure the median age would be 85. ;D

But 1% of their audience is between 6 and 11 years old

What's kinda interesting is the age spread between KTweetAR and KFWhyEye...only 8 years, AND it's on Ancient Modulation. Tweak the presentation, put it on FM, and blow The Voice of Arizona out of the water!

(sfx fake studio audience) clap, clap, clap, clap, etc

Cheap Channel actually admits that--for one of its own stations!

(We're pretty sure Mr. Hagerty is NOT Dr. Akbar, even though he used the
Akbar-esque "Yikes!" in his comment.)

And the with the KOOL-FM median age of 53, that means the average KOOL listener
was only 8 when Bang 545 was released. :D

I am not now, nor have I ever been Dr. Akbar.

That does not mean I am not easily influenced. ::)

I suppose very few of the PPMs in circulation belong to KOY listeners...so that median of 78 could be one participant who's 77 and one who's 79.

And I guess the number isn't terribly surprising....KOY plays relatively little big band nostalgia stuff and has added (well, their satellite service has added) a chunk of what were Adult Contemporary hits of the mid-late 70s. And the folks who were 40 in 1974 are...78 now.
