Which morning show needs to be replaced?

I'm planning on moving to the Phoenix area within the next 2 years and I'm going to take someone's job. Which morning show needs to be replaced and why?

Um, wow! That's rather bold of you. ::)

You might want to look at the Clear Channel stations and figure out how you can offer your services for less than the current on-air talent. Assuming you have the requisite experience/ratings, good resume and stellar aircheck tape, the job will probably be yours (assuming, of course, that the current show isn't pulling in a lot of revenue for CC). Hope you like Ramen noodles.

Otherwise, two years is an eternity in radio and you might be looking at replacing someone who isn't working in Phoenix yet.

Four whole days, hummm. Well you initially need to de-swell that BIG head of yours, and if your really tired of New Hampshire, do us all a favor and stay on that end of the country!

...well, his/her head can't be nearly as swelled as Bruce Jacobs', can it? ;-) ...

What kind of money are we looking at for morning drive in Phoenix? I just started four days ago. I don't know too much about being a disc jockey.

Hmmm...you sound exactly like what KFWhyEye is looking for. Please consult Craigslist under the heading of "Radio Program Director". btw..do you have experience with automation systems?

An idiot?

Hardly.

He's in New Hampshire and wants to move to Phoenix. What a shocker! Imagine that! I think you'd probably have better luck moving from Phoenix to New Hampshire. Who wants to go there? If you want to move somewhere there's opportunity (read stations in serious need of help), come to HotLanta.

Mucho opportunito.

My ol' pals Tim-n-Willy are still flippin' burgs at Sanderson Ford. Come on guys back to work. Even after reporting traffic for you two for nine years, and taking 4 months off to clean out, I got my butt back on the air! ENOUGH ALREADY WE MISS YOU! Well maybe not all of us but I do. You better know it Jackson. :p

I thought perhaps Tim-n-Willy went to work for the Media Hut as consultants. I didn't realize they found a better job at Sanderson Ford. ;D (No offense, Dr., but flippin burgers beats a dusty ol media hut!)

Clever responses... no answers. How much money does mornings pay in Phoenix?

Next Monday morning (6-9 PDT) call 602-260-9400 and ask Tom, John or Maria.

The show starts at 5, however I'm not sure if the entire
morning zoo is there from the top, as I no longer listen to
KOOL in AM drive. Other dayparts, yes.

Correction on the boss line: 602-260-9494.
The former "get-a-hold-of Bill Gardner line."

But I don't think they'll tell you any $$$$ figures.

I'm not sure what someone would make annually these days, since it's usually multi-year contracts.

Sammy's guess for the top 3 highest paid morning shows would be:

1.Pratt on KMLE
2.Beth and Bill on KESZ
3.Barry Young on KFYI

Each one worth every penny of their Filet Minon payscale for their respective stations.

If you gotta ask, you won't be getting it.

Sorry.

NEW Hampshire?

Bah, the old Hampshire was good enough for me.

We wore onions on our belt, that was the style back then.

Our burgers come with the aroma of a 76 Gremlin's exhaust! The Nurse and I keep lookin' for Tim 'n Willie to do a cameo in Wonderful Russ Shaw's "..I sell 150 times more homes than the average real-a-tor.." commercial. We wonder if they regret passing on that two year contract?
