WHICH NEW SHOW WILL GET CANCELLED FIRST

Unfortunately, "Whitney" will be a priority for NBC regardless of the outcome. Can you say "30 Rock?"

Odd comment. 30 Rock is an innovative and funny show. I was hoping to like Whitney, but so far, it's just a typical old-fashioned laugh-track comedy with the set up-punchline-laugh response format.

"Filmed in front of a studio audience" Yeah, right, and then "sweetened" with extra fake-laughs in the editing room.

1.) Whitney (NBC) - This is the current front runner in my book. Whenever a network does a media blitz for 6 straight months before a show's premiere, it's over compensating for something. If this show makes 3 weeks I'd be surprised.

2.) Up All Night (NBC) - More like "Bland All Right".

3.) Terra Nova (FOX) - "Jurassic Park Meets Lost" this show is too expensive to make to not fail immediately. Also, FOX pulls the plug on anything not written by Seth MacFarland or is not a singing talent show immediately. Remember "Lone Star"? No one does because it was pulled before it could be determined if it has legs or not. "Terra Nova" will face a similar fate.
Lone star debuted to horrible ratings 4.1 million only a moron programmer wouldn't have cancelled it, dead on arrival my friend every network cancels shows helloooooooooooooo.

The New Girl was horrible, in fact I was going to start a thread about how bad it was. Won't give that one a second chance for sure.
I thought she was adorable. The guys are basically harmless and she's funny and pretty in a quirky way. Since I have to TiVo "Glee" and the only way to get "Raising Hope" is to extend the "Glee" ending time by an hour, I get this show automatically. Unless "Ringer" gets moved.

I got sick of her just from her commercials, though she's quite good-looking.

I was about to respond to "Up All Night" and realized I never tried it. The commercials didn't make me want to see it even with Christina Applegate. Then I remembered it was "Free Agents" I saw. Hank Azaria was the reason, and he doesn't remind me of any of his "Simpsons" characters. Furthermore, I couldn't get through the pilot.

Charlie's Angels on ABC

Why? It's hardly original. The voice of Charlie is STILL being done by THE LATE John Forsythe (May he RIP BTW). How can that be if he's DEAD (If he's not dead, he's certainly got to be in a nursing home)

I hate to say it but people will eventually see through the hype of this show for what it really is - A REINVENTION OF THE WHEEL

Cheers & 73 :D

It looks like we can take "New Girl" off the list. Fox gave the comedy a full season pickup. And if I was a betting man, we could see CBS do the same with "2 Broke Girls."

Up All Night because, as much as we love Christina Applegate,
it is up against Survivor, The X Factor and The Middle. And I just
don't see it overtaking any of those shows.

It looks like "Free Agents" isn't long for this world. Last night, it notched an microscopic 1.0 rating, based on preliminary numbers, in the 18-49 demo. Even for NBC, that's not a good number!

I don't know what the networks will do but I've already crossed the following off my list:

2 Broke Girls
The New Girl
Two and a Half Men (Kutcher wrecking ball season)
Pan Am
Terra Nova
Unforgettable
Everything on NBC
Everything on Fox (save the very occasional Bones)
Suburgatory
Happy Endings
Charlie's Angels
Private Practice
How To Be A Gentleman
Person of Interest
A Gifted Man

That leaves (of the new shows):

Revenge (still in decision mode)

So far this season, these programs have been pink-slipped...

The Playboy Club
H8R
Free Agents

Meanwhile, there's speculation that "How To Be A Gentleman" could be joining that list soon if their ratings don't improve.

You and I don't agree on much.

That's what makes the world go round I guess. Truth is, aside from sports (NHL, NCAA football and racing of various kinds) I do not watch much TV. So far this season I have been watching:

Big Bang Theory
The Middle
Burn Notice (who doesn't fantasize about Gabrielle Anwar)
Survivor (so I can practice my schadenfreude)
Desperate Housewives (last season and running out of gas quickly)
Revenge (it's hanging on by a thread)
Last Man Standing (which may be the case unless it improves greatly)
Dateline (occasionally, if it has an interesting subject)
CBS Sunday Morning (not on my must see list but if I'm up and available)
Two and a Half Men (seasons 1-7 on syndication)

Most of my viewing is done via the Internet and includes documentaries and history shows of various kinds. My favorite show as a kid was 20th Century with Walter Cronkite if that gives you any clue. ;D

I have a feeling The Playboy Club gets the axe first.

And you are correct. Last Episode will air on 10/31 replaced by Brian Williams' new newsmagazine.
...not even that long. The Playboy Club hasn't been on since the week the cancellation was announced; reruns of Prime Suspect has been running in its place, and Williams makes his debut Halloween night. NBC hasn't even been adding the remainder of whatever Playboy Club episodes to the video-on-demand service on Time Warner Cable in Los Angeles County...
