Which processor for upgrade? Omnia-3 or Orban 9400?

omnia 5 vs 9400 is a more fair comparison than the o3 vs the 9400.last AM i owned back in 1979 used the Harris MSP 100(not the msp 95)anyone remember it? competition had the CRL's and we blew their socks off.dam hot box for A M>..and on the FM side, the Omnia 6 will do everything the orban 8400 does and MORE..dense or bright it will get the job done..box has amazing loudness and clarity...

I can't remember any Harris attempt at an audio processor that sounded good, but I never used the 100. The MSP-95 was not a hot device at all in any capacity.

you are correct about the msp 95, the 100 was a totally different box, $5695.00 price tag which for 1979 was pretty expensive.eng drove 50 miles to hear it,cause he got word we had one.saw one on Ebay awhile back..AM sounded as good as FM MONO..harris mw1 and unipole broad band antenna. it was a smoker...surely some of these old Harris folks remember the MSP 100 processor...

Zacster,

You moved! Hey i love the 2020!!! I must admit it can't get as loud as the others but the QUALITY sure makes up for it. Great level control too.

Drop me a line bro.

best bang for the buck is the dsp-x and xtra with ariane.it'll give you quality plus loud...been there done that with the 2020..would never own another one...might be ok in a prod room.and on air if you're doing classical...
