Which Radio Stations Shaped your Taste in Music?

Air 1 was one of mine because it used to be a funner mix of Christian music than the local SPIRIT 105.3 station in Seattle. I also have part of my taste from other stations too like Pop 99.1 from Hawaii for K-pop and Warm 106.9 for Christmas music and 80s through today music. I also use SPIRIT 105.3 for the religious Christmas songs as well as some other religious Christmas stations.

I remember when 92.5 first flipped to “Movin.” It was kind of a strange format because it was somewhat of an amalgamation of CHR and danceable older hits. Didn’t really seem like a recipe for success at the time, though what did I know, I wasn’t really old enough to know better. It makes sense that it morphed into CHR. It is clear that 92.5 is the “go to” station for CHR in the puget sound, and it’s not even close.
I think part of it is cause the ratings declined as a Rhythmic AC and due to 90.9 abandoning the format. Hits 106.1 is usually the #2 CHR station in the market while MOViN is #1 for CHR. They used to be #1 6+ though they probably are #1 for 18-35 sometimes.
