Which show was REALLY worse?

Really, could anything be worse than National Lampoon's Hot Flashes?

I'll never get those thirty minutes back :'(

Out of WWOR, they syndicated "The Uncle Flloyd Show"
A friend of mine loved it. Thought it was hilarious. Me and
another friend were over at his house. It was on. He made
us watch it. As he was actually rolling on the floor laughing,
we just looked at each other, shrugged our shoulders and left.
I thought it was extremely stupid.

When I started reading this thread, I was thinking that maybe it should be placed in "Classic TV".

Then I saw some of the titles.

"Classic" would insinuate something akin to quality.

Good point, but sadly - "classic" has been a devalued word for many years, and has long been used to mean just 'old' or 'retro', or worse...a synonym for 'high class.'

How else would you explain the Rambler Classic, or Domino's Classic Pizza?

The Magic Hour was bound to fail mostly because the host was trying to play it straight, handing off the comedy to others. Magic doing a Tom Snyder-type of show might have been pretty bad also, to be sure--but arguably, good production and editing might have made it watchable. TMH wasn't watchable.

Howard Stern actually appeared on the Magic Hour. To say that was a poor decision by the show's booking staff is polite. :D

IIRC, booking Stern as a guest was actually a last-gasp stunt to prop up the show's poor ratings. It worked...temporarily.

Too bad Howard Stern didn't take his syndicated weekend show and make it a network weeknight show. Putting Howard Stern on after Late Night with David Letterman would have been cool... back in the day. Late Night Lesbians!
Howard Stern went to The Magic Hour to destroy it, sure enough. But he actually has more late night TV failures than Magic Johnson:

And Coke Classic!

What was that show Fox did to provide a conservative alternative to "The Daily Show"? Something like "Half Hour News Hour"?
