Which station is CT's best rock station; WPLR vs. I-95

Nice guess but no, I'm Joe Colon from Cumulus' WEBE/WICC.

CCC is pretty good for active rock.

I-95 is OK but in my honest opinion I think WPLR sounds better. Focus on the word SOUND: Music, Imaging Production & Jocks
For the overall sound of a rock station (in my opinion) 99.1 WPLR sounds better than I-95 WRKI.

PLR's jocks are better, the only person I like on I-95 is Pam Brooks.

I agree they did add some good songs they were missing.

Re: how about 1063? wpdh's relay

I get em on 101.5 crystal clear in the litchfield hills (kent area) when I was up at boarding school. (on my walkmen nonetheless)

CCC's my favorite in the area, newer rock, great personalities, etc.

I'd take I-95 over PLR among those 2. I-95 seems to have a more diverse playlist and I like the local feel.

Don't forget Rock 102 out of Springfield, though it's a boring, tired version of a classic rock station. If you're going to call yourself rock, start rockin'.

I was also impressed with 92.3 K-Rock since I heard the revamp for the first time. Very well rounded.

exactly..on a hill...line of sight reception..did they not teach you that? You're also more north up in Kent which KC101 may not interfear as much. We pretty much understood that from the get go. :)

Actually, I95 is number 1 in their respected market, Danbury, and constantly are number 1 or 2....and the Fox is SO small I find it hard to consider it a part of this discussion because their signal is so little...however, they do a good job down in Norwalk with the signal they do have.
