Which Syndicator programmed WCSN-FM 102.3 in Louisville?

Hello Gang,

Can anyone tell me which radio syndicator programmed WCSN-FM 102.3, licensed to Louisville, KY? During the years that I was a listener (1976-1980) it broadcast a "Beautiful Music" / Easy Listening format. I'm hoping that, by discovering who the programmer was, I can find some of the music that received airplay which I've been seeking for over 25 years.
If you don't know, could you please tell me how I can go about finding the information? The station's current call-letters are WXMA. Thank you very much. Best to all!

Russell

Don't know the syndicator but WCSN's frequency was 99.7. WLRS was 102.3. For those playing the home game, 99.7 today is WDJX and WLRS call letters are on 105.1.

Thanks for the clarification, radiorob. Obviously my memory isn't what it used to be after all these years. I wonder if the folks at WDJX might have the info I'm seeking in their archives. I suppose it's worth a shot to ask. I belong to the yahoo discussion group: Beautiful Instrumentals, where a few pioneer programmers from easy-listening radio's heyday, including Phil Stout (formerly SRP/currently at Music Choice) and Marlin Taylor (formerly with Bonneville/currently at XM Radio) are key members. My question went unanswered on that board. Mr. Stout/SRP was the programmer of Louisville's competing EZ station (WVEZ-FM 106.9) at that time period. I hope that someone will be able to help me.

Regards,
RJ

99.7 WCSN used the Bonnieville Beautiful Music format from the early 1970's until the station changed to the new KJ-100 in 1979. During the days as a beautiful music station, the jocks on sister station 1080 WKLO had to change the tapes on WCSN. You could always count on hearing Stairway to Heaven at tape change time since the automation system was located in the basement of the building and the AM studio was on the first floor.
