Which TV News Anchor Has Been With The Same Station The Longest?

Who holds the record for TV anchor (or weatherman or sportscaster) who's been with ONE TV station and only ONE tv station the longest number of years? I mean consecutive, not going to one TV station then moving, then coming back.

Does anyone know or have some good guesses?

howard caldwell on wfmb , later wthr channel 6 indianapolis was there for decades.i believe mike ahern on wish tv channel 8 indianapolis was too.

If I may correct you, Caldwell worked for WFBM Channel 6, later WRTV.

In Detroit, the two longest Anchormen was Bill Bonds (WXYZ (1976-95)) and Mort Crim (WDIV (1979-96)). Sonny Elliot was a long time weatherman on WWJ(WDIV) from the 1950s-1980s

In New York City, among English-speaking stations, hands-down Chuck Scarborough who's been with WNBC Channel 4 constantly since 1974. I say "among English-speaking stations" because at Spanish-language WXTV Channel 41, Rafael Pineda has toiled at the anchor desk since 1972.

In Cleveland, weatherman Dick Goddard has been with WJW Channel 8 since 1966 (including its 1977-85 run as WJKW).

John Quill did weather on WWLP Springfield MA from Day One in 1953 until his 2000 retirement.

Joel Daly was a news anchor at WBKB/WLS-TV Chicago from 1967 to 2005.

I think I can add two from the St. Louis area to the list: Dick Ford, who worked at Channel 5 (KSD/KSDK) from 1971-1992, before going to KTVI from 1992-2006.

Another one was John Roedel, a longtime anchor and reporter who worked at Channel 5 from its first day in 1947 to about the mid 1980s (I don't know exactly when he retired).

Jim Gardner joined WPVI in the early 70's as noon anchor. He moved to evenings in 1975 and
is still doing it today.

Jim Gardner came to WPVI Philadelphia in June, 1976 as a weekend anchor. He moved to the
weekday 6 and 11 pm shows in May, 1977. He is still doing 6 and 11 pm today, so that makes him
the longest-tenured current news anchor in Philadelphia.

In the Quad Cities, Don Sharp had been with WHBF-TV from 1962 to 2000 with a brief return in 2001. He was the sports commentator who was also the main anchor sometimes....

The only one that comes to mind for me is Chuck Goudie. He's been with WLS-TV since 1980 (he's mainly a reporter, but does anchor the news from time to time). At WGN-TV, Steve Sanders has been with that station since 1982, but didn't become an anchor until 1984

For South Bend, brother sister duo Terry & Maureen McFadden have been employed at WNDU-TV for many years, with Terry being there since 1982 & Maureen since 1983.

I'm surprised no one has mentioned Monica Kaufman (Pearson)
on WSB; she's been there since 1975 and plans to retire in
2012, giving her 37 years in Atlanta, having been hired from
WHAS Louisville.

Unmistakably..Don Wayne of WHIO-TV in Dayton known for his Walter Cronkite-styled delivery. He replaced a news anchor roughly around 1950 (who was let go for smoking his pipe on the air.) Wayne remained at WHIO-TV up until the late 1980s when he retired. He passed away in the 1990s.

Bill Wordon has been an anchor at WKTV in Utica since 1975.
