While we're on the subject of FLZ...

...anyone notice something missing from their playlist? I was out of town last week, and pretty much every CHR I heard from J-ville to Greenville, NC (I would include Norfolk, but once again they no longer have CHR) had "If Everyone Cared" by Nickelback on heavy to moderate rotation, and incidentally it's been in the MediaBase Top Ten for two weeks now. I have yet to hear this song on FLZ, yet they still have "Far Away" (which went recurrent a month ago) in heavy rotation. I also am pretty sure that they didn't include "It's Not Over" into moderate rotation until the song was already in the top five according to MB (by the way, congrats to Daughtry for hitting #1 this week). On a somewhat related note, "I.E.C" is not even listed on WXXL's playlist. What in the world is going on with the CHR stations in the region???

no they've been spinning it. Heard it off and on since last week. Don't mind them being a little late on Daughtry. Gives us some room over here(98rock) to play some hits and get some legs out of it before it spins 90x a week on CHR ;D. Far away has been one of the many that just won't die. Hope Nickleback doesn't "Hootie and the Blowfish" out after this one.

Heard it this morning for the first time (to my knowledge). Keep in mind I only usually listen to it from around midnight to 5am.

Over the last couple of years our market has been painfully slow on new music. FLZ used to have a very cutting edge playlist 4 years ago. No more. 97X seems to play the modern ac hits of a couple ofyears ago, (although they play some new music). mix's 5 currents are roughly 1-2 years old, (mixed in with 70's music). However there is plenty of 70's and 80's rock to go around here!

I listen to FLZ quite frequently and heard that song for the very first time on "American Top 20" with Casey Kasem, which is on Mix (and a nice relief from Seacrest).

Add another one to the list..."U and Ur Hand" by Pink that just went Top Ten (Mediabase) over the weekend. Yet to hear it on there (outside of AT40, OHP, and maybe the Fri nite/Sat nite party shows)

Flz disappointment, I have always been a huge Kane fan and was pretty excited that he was going to be doing his afternoon show live from DC, so much for that if anyone has listened all his calls are from his morning show in DC as they mention morning, laws in Maryland, mentions to being new in town, etc.

Bummer for us in Tampa losing our Live Kane but I guess we were lucky for several years to have Kane live in Tampa, I guess our Kane Phone calls through the years were apart of the stations that Kane did feeds for and now were apart of the Kane Tracking Network in Tampa.

Heard it for the first time last night at work. Funny how I bring up a song that I don't hear played all of a sudden I hear it on there...hmmm...

The point is in past years we didn't have to wait for a song to be played to death nationally to hear it on FLZ, they played it from the get go!
