From the KVIL website...Notice the terms, "MULTI-CITY CONTEST" and be the "110th NATIONWIDE CALLER" below. The plug on the website makes it look like it's a Gene-n-Julie contest, but, of course, the national aspect is hidden in the fine print. Sheesh, look who's taking a cue from Clear Channel!?!

"The New 103.7 LITE-FM wants to know what you would do with $10,000. And we’re serious about it. In fact, we’re SO serious that we’re giving you 100 chances to win $10,000 CASH during April! Do the math…that’s $1 MILLION DOLLARS given away in April, $10,000 at a time!

"Starting April 3rd, we’ll give you five chances every weekday to call 1-866-EASY WIN and collect $10,000 cash in this multi-city contest. We’ll even tell you when it’s time to call. Then, the “$10,000 EASY-WIN” will happen on the New 103.7 LITE-FM between 7am and 7pm every weekday beginning THIS Thursday, April 3rd and every weekday through Wednesday, April 30th. Just listen for us to tell you to be the 110th nationwide caller at 1-866-EASY-WIN!"

Poor KVIL. The days of "people's choice' ,"magic tickets","race around the world", "a datsun a day" andotherwise inventive, innovative, creative, captivating programming" are absolute history for a once proud station. Its just there making noise,a far smaller audience, selling spots to a few listeners... an account execs delight,,a real estate agents dream. As a classic jingle of their's once said "it's a shame whats happened to radio".

You wanna know what's even lamer!?!?! Not only is it a multi-city it is a multi-station within this market contest. It is the same contest on Live 105.3 when you hear Sam the Mailman tell you to call and the same contest when you hear MOViN' cash cow say "Moo" or the K-LUV cue to call. Not sure about JACK or KRLD. Sad.

This from former taco stand managers who got into radio and think they have the key to what ails the business.
