Whiners about the Weather..
Chicago has a reputation for having some of the largest snow accumulations in history. I was born in Lancaster, PA. Lived also in the mountains of VA and over the years have been teased by people from Chicago for not having lived in areas where the snow was as much as they had. Today I listened to the Roe Show on WGN on the internet and was shocked to hear the whining and complaining about the recent snow they had. They talked about snows that happend in the 70's and when Roe was younger. THESE PEOPLE SHOULD BE USED TO SNOW..SHOULD KNOW HOW TO DEAL WITH IT WITHOUT A BLINK OF AN EYE. BUT NO..THEY WHINE AND COMPLAIN ABOUT SNOW.. PHILLY'S THE SAME WAY..KYW MAKING OUT LIKE WE ARE HAVING A CATASTROPHE EVERY DAY ...OH ITS SO COLD..OH ITS GONNA SNOW..THEN FREEZING RAIN..THEN REAL RAIN..SHE SAID .. YES THEY SAID "REAL RAIN" I JUST CAN'T STAND IT..ANYMORE PLEASE MEN IN THE WHITE COATS COME TAKE ME AWAY A FROM THE WEATHER WHINERS.
After Roe's show was over this Pete Mcmurray guy came on and he was even worse. Complained about shoveling snow.. Hey if you don't like snow you shouldn't be living in a city that is known for snow.. ITS' WINTER..ITS SUPPOSED TO SNOW...CAN WE TALK ABOUT SOMETHING ELSE PLEASE...

Roe uses that particular approach that always sounds whiney. When he and Garry were on LS together, it worked, because Garry was willing to explore the subject matter in a very Chicago-esque subtly cranky mood, as a good counterpoint to Roe's "Barney Fife" histrionics.

Love Lancaster. Worked at 2 of the Donneley plants many times. Used to stay in Lititz.

Wish WGN hadn't shuffled Garry off.
He is the underappreciated genius of many pairings in the past.
