White Mt skip

Low channels 2 and 4 have been skipping into Lakeside for several days. We first noticed it when shutting down the VCR as an NBC outlet came in on Ch 4. Haven't been able to pick up the COL as yet, but AFAIK can't be Tucson. There is a 33 watt xltr bringing in KAET on Ch 3, so no skip reception there.

Might be Albuquerque's KASA 2 (Fox - COL: Santa Fe) and KOB 4 (NBC)? I know one of the translators licensed to York (Duncan area - So. Greenlee Co.) rebroadcasts KOAT 7 from Albuquerque and the translators on the Navajo Nation rebroadcast the Albuquerque stations as well.

On a related note, does anyone know if there can be interference at channel+17? Recently, I've picked up a TBN signal on 38 in Chandler with just a cheap set of rabbit ears. TBN is on 21 in Phoenix and that's their only full-power station in AZ. The only ch. 38 I know of that has TBN is a 1.2 kW translator K38CX in Shonto, NE of Tuba City. I'd be extremely surprised if that's what I'm picking up.
Edited by dhett on 06/21/05 05:00 AM.
