Whitesox rally coverage on ESPN 1000.

I was surprised today that ESPN 1000 was just broadcasting the live feed from the rally without hosts. They were carrying Dan Patrick when the rally started, and went back to him once it was over. I think that with that coverage, they could change their slogan from "first for sports" to "worst for sports!"

I don't know, that seems way more respectful of the audience than having a couple of idiots talking during the rally. It was a meaningful event for a sports fan, and 1000 was right to let the listener enjoy it unspoiled.

I guess i'm thinking about parts in the rally like the videos that could have used some discription like what was given on The Score. Also, I'm surprised that they weren't broadcasting live while the parade was going by. Rather, they were running Dan Patrick.

Considering that they're losing the Sox to the Score, it's not that surprising. I don't think they wanted to give them more free advertising than they could.
